Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sue Macartney-Snape could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS auction, the work The Family Skiing Holiday changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 533.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Sue Macartney-Snape have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunday morning in the shires in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,735.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sue Macartney-Snape konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS wechselte die Arbeit The Family Skiing Holiday für GBP 360,00 (€ 533,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sue Macartney-Snape auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunday morning in the shires im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.346,00 (€ 4.735,51).
