Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Sudarshan Shetty was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,866.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sudarshan Shetty - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 37,284.28).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sudarshan Shetty kam im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.866,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sudarshan Shetty mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 37.284,28) versteigert wurde.
