Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Promise Of Happiness by Su Xiaobai was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 1,534,000.00 (€ 177,285.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,300,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Su Xiaobai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Great Consummation-3, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 473,583.40).

Die Arbeit The Promise Of Happiness von Su Xiaobai wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.534.000,00 (€ 177.285,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.300.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Su Xiaobai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Great Consummation-3 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 473.583,40) versteigert wurde.
