Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain II by Su Xiaobai was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The price achieved of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 70,542.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Su Xiaobai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Great Consummation-3 in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 473,583.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mountain II von Su Xiaobai wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 70.542,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Su Xiaobai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Great Consummation-3 im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 473.583,40).
