Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections, which included the work Cinnabar Calligraphy, 2005 by Su Xiaobai. The price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,038.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Su Xiaobai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Great Consummation-3 in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 473,583.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cinnabar Calligraphy, 2005 von Su Xiaobai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.038,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Su Xiaobai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Great Consummation-3 im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 473.583,40).
