Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Verdure in Warm Breeze by Su Chung-Ming was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,643.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Su Chung-Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Waterfall, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,612.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Verdure in Warm Breeze von Su Chung-Ming wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.643,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Su Chung-Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Waterfall beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.612,75) versteigert wurde.
