Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Bowman's Wharf by Stow Wengenroth. The price achieved of USD 416.00 (€ 393.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Stow Wengenroth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grand Central (Stuckey 183) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,829.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bowman's Wharf von Stow Wengenroth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 416,00 (€ 393,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stow Wengenroth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grand Central (Stuckey 183) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.829,66).
