Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Steven Arnold could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Connecting to the Infinite changed hands for USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,587.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Arnold - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Black Jesus, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,317.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Arnold konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Connecting to the Infinite für USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.587,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Arnold mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Black Jesus beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.317,54) versteigert wurde.
