In November this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Sharbat Gula, Afghan Girl, Pakistan by Steve McCurry. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,795.00 (€ 12,509.06), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steve McCurry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue City, Jodhpur, India, 2010, which sold at auction in November 2018 for INR 3,750,000.00 (€ 47,359.36).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sharbat Gula, Afghan Girl, Pakistan von Steve McCurry zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.795,00 (€ 12.509,06) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Steve McCurry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue City, Jodhpur, India, 2010 beobachtet, die im November 2018 für INR 3.750.000,00 (€ 47.359,36) versteigert wurde.
