Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Sleep in Tub by Steve Galloway for USD 1,187.50 (€ 865.84). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Steve Galloway have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quivering State in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,012.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sleep in Tub von Steve Galloway für USD 1.187,50 (€ 865,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Steve Galloway auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quivering State im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.012,76).
