Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Setting Lobster Pots, Bantry Bay by Stephen Bone was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 735.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Bone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow in Knightsbridge, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,367.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Setting Lobster Pots, Bantry Bay von Stephen Bone kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 735,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Bone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow in Knightsbridge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 1.673,00 (€ 2.367,76) versteigert wurde.
