Auction result well in line with expectations
The work April In The Park by Stephen Bone was sold in the At Home - British & Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in January 2004. The price achieved of GBP 105.75 (€ 154.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Bone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snow in Knightsbridge in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,367.76).
