Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The artist, Muirhead Bone, sketching a harbour by Stephen Bone. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 525.00 (€ 663.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stephen Bone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow in Knightsbridge, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,367.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The artist, Muirhead Bone, sketching a harbour von Stephen Bone zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 525,00 (€ 663,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Stephen Bone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow in Knightsbridge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 1.673,00 (€ 2.367,76) versteigert wurde.
