This artwork by Srihadi Soedarsono achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. In the Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Boats on Sanur Beach, Bali sold for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 98,110.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Srihadi Soedarsono - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) , which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 383,472.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Srihadi Soedarsono erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Boats on Sanur Beach, Bali für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 98.110,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Srihadi Soedarsono mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dalam Meditasi Bedhoyo Ketawang (State Of Meditation - Bedhoyo Ketawang) beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 383.472,06) versteigert wurde.
