Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Modern British Art Evening Sale, which included the work Behind the Blind by Spencer Frederick Gore. The price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 90,337.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Spencer Frederick Gore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 149,000.00 (€ 210,088.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Behind the Blind von Spencer Frederick Gore zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 90.337,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Spencer Frederick Gore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 149.000,00 (€ 210.088,13) versteigert wurde.
