Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior Of Room At 6 Cambrian Road, Richmond by Spencer Frederick Gore was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 70,281.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Spencer Frederick Gore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 149,000.00 (€ 210,088.13).
