Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work From A Window In The Hampstead Road by Spencer Frederick Gore. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 78,090.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Spencer Frederick Gore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 149,000.00 (€ 210,088.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit From A Window In The Hampstead Road von Spencer Frederick Gore zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 78.090,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Spencer Frederick Gore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset, Letchworth, With Man And Dog beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 149.000,00 (€ 210.088,13) versteigert wurde.
