Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Family Group by Sorel Etrog was sold in the Joseph H. Hirshhorn: Collector for A Nation - An Online Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2020. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,936.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sorel Etrog - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Group, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 161,000.00 (€ 118,330.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Family Group von Sorel Etrog wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Joseph H. Hirshhorn: Collector for A Nation - An Online Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.936,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sorel Etrog mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Group beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 161.000,00 (€ 118.330,15) versteigert wurde.
