Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Minotaur as a Sea God 12cm (4 3/4in) high (including base); 9.5cm (3 3/4in) high (excluding base) by Sophie Ryder was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,631.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sophie Ryder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lady-Hare with Dog 216 cm. (85 in.) high in November last year with an auction result of GBP 94,800.00 (€ 109,851.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Minotaur as a Sea God 12cm (4 3/4in) high (including base); 9.5cm (3 3/4in) high (excluding base) von Sophie Ryder kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.408,00 (€ 1.631,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sophie Ryder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lady-Hare with Dog 216 cm. (85 in.) high im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.800,00 (€ 109.851,55).
