Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Song Cao. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 45,410.00 (€ 2,947.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Song Cao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Cursive Script in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 123,288.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy von Song Cao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 45.410,00 (€ 2.947,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Song Cao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Cursive Script im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 123.288,74).
