Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Solomon Borisovich Nikritin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2020. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Moscow After The Rain sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,649.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Solomon Borisovich Nikritin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Square In Moscow sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 26,177.84).
