This artwork by Solomon Borisovich Nikritin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2021. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work People sold for GBP 11,970.00 (€ 13,948.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Solomon Borisovich Nikritin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Square In Moscow sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 26,177.84).
