A top price for Soedibio
This artwork by Soedibio achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Gunungan (The Tree of Life) sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,068.42) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. This high result makes Gunungan (The Tree of Life) the most expensive artwork by Soedibio that we have observed at auctions so far.
