Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Wandering in the Room of Colours by Soedibio. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 35,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 38,750.00 (€ 3,842.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Soedibio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gunungan (The Tree of Life), which sold at auction in May 2012 for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,068.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wandering in the Room of Colours von Soedibio zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 38.750,00 (€ 3.842,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Soedibio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gunungan (The Tree of Life) beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.068,42) versteigert wurde.
