In the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction, the work Worshippers in Church, Cookham sold for GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,225.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley Spencer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ Preaching At Cookham Regatta: Conversation Between Punts in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 6,018,500.00 (€ 7,242,459.25).
