Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mrs Linda Few Brown by Stanley Spencer was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 315,300.00 (€ 366,288.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stanley Spencer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ Preaching At Cookham Regatta: Conversation Between Punts in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 6,018,500.00 (€ 7,242,459.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mrs Linda Few Brown von Stanley Spencer kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 315.300,00 (€ 366.288,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stanley Spencer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ Preaching At Cookham Regatta: Conversation Between Punts im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.018.500,00 (€ 7.242.459,25).
