The work A reverie by Luke Fildes was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,238.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luke Fildes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Simpletons (The Sweet River), which sold at auction in July 2016 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,823.24).

Die Arbeit A reverie von Luke Fildes kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.238,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Für andere Arbeiten von Luke Fildes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Simpletons (The Sweet River) beobachtet, die im Juli 2016 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.823,24) versteigert wurde.
