A top price for Luke Fildes - as previously expected
The work Simpletons (The Sweet River) by Luke Fildes was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,823.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Simpletons (The Sweet River) is the most expensive artwork by Luke Fildes that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Simpletons (The Sweet River) von Luke Fildes wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert.
