Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Burning III by Robin Philipson was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 828.75 (€ 974.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Philipson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Burning III von Robin Philipson kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 828,75 (€ 974,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Philipson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zebra, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.500,00 (€ 244.868,41).
