The work Cockfight by Robin Philipson was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,699.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Philipson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).

Die Arbeit Cockfight von Robin Philipson kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.699,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Philipson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zebra, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.500,00 (€ 244.868,41).
