Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Carosel I by Robin Philipson was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,424.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Philipson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Carosel I von Robin Philipson wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.424,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Philipson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zebra, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.500,00 (€ 244.868,41).
