Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Compotier of Fruit by Robin Philipson. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,204.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Philipson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compotier of Fruit von Robin Philipson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.204,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Philipson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zebra, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.500,00 (€ 244.868,41).
