Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fighting Cocks - The Kill by Robin Philipson was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,057.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Philipson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).
