Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Secret Garden VII by Robin Philipson. The price achieved of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,657.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robin Philipson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Secret Garden VII von Robin Philipson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.657,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robin Philipson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zebra, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.500,00 (€ 244.868,41).
