Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Poppies by Robin Philipson. The price achieved of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robin Philipson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zebra, A Triptych in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 192,500.00 (€ 244,868.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poppies von Robin Philipson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robin Philipson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zebra, A Triptych im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 192.500,00 (€ 244.868,41).
