Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Nike trainer magenta) by Michael Craig-Martin was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,511.24). Admittedly, works by Michael Craig-Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work With Red Shoes in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 325,000.00 (€ 381,791.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Nike trainer magenta) von Michael Craig-Martin wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.511,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Craig-Martin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit With Red Shoes im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.000,00 (€ 381.791,28).
