Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work The Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, 4th Bart by Leslie Matthew Ward for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,604.05). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leslie Matthew Ward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Earl of Darnley, 'Ivo' Cricketer in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,125.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, 4th Bart von Leslie Matthew Ward für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.604,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leslie Matthew Ward erzielen.
