Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Major-General Sir R.B. Lane, 'Rowdy Lane' Military Officer by Leslie Matthew Ward was sold in the JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR auction at Christies in London in December 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,438.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leslie Matthew Ward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Earl of Darnley, 'Ivo' Cricketer in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,125.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Major-General Sir R.B. Lane, 'Rowdy Lane' Military Officer von Leslie Matthew Ward wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion JOHN FRANKS COLL. OF ORIGINAL WATERCOLOURS FOR VANITY FAIR bei Christies in London versteigert.
