Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kyffin Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Welsh Coast, Near Penmaenmawr sold for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,978.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kyffin Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bryn Y'R Hên Bobl in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 57,600.00 (€ 84,621.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kyffin Williams erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Welsh Coast, Near Penmaenmawr für GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.978,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kyffin Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bryn Y'R Hên Bobl im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 57.600,00 (€ 84.621,68).
