Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of AUD 3,690.00 (€ 2,347.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by John William Ashton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Neutral Bay, Sydney Harbour in November 2000 with an auction result of AUD 32,900.00 (€ 19,912.56).
