Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Dream Of Dawn by John Everett Millais was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,076.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Everett Millais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,301,875.00 (€ 2,630,293.40).
