A top price for John Alfred Arnesby Brown - as previously expected
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The River, Afterglow by John Alfred Arnesby Brown. The price achieved of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 96,069.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The River, Afterglow is the most expensive artwork by John Alfred Arnesby Brown that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The River, Afterglow von John Alfred Arnesby Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 96.069,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden.
