Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,646.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Alfred Arnesby Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The River, Afterglow, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 96,069.18).
