The price achieved of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,375.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Alfred Arnesby Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The River, Afterglow in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 96,069.18).
