Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Coastal Scene by James Lawton Wingate was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 701.25 (€ 815.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Lawton Wingate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villa Limonaia From Villa Ombrellino, Bellosguardo, Near Florence in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,889.77).

Die Arbeit Coastal Scene von James Lawton Wingate kam im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 701,25 (€ 815,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Lawton Wingate erzielen.
