It achieved a price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,946.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Lawton Wingate - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Villa Limonaia From Villa Ombrellino, Bellosguardo, Near Florence, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,889.77).
