Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of The Leopold, Count Of Auersperg (1662-1705) by Godfrey Kneller was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,020.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Godfrey Kneller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Elizabeth, Duchess of Dorset, Full-Length, In A White Dress With A Blue Wrap, Leaning On A Stone Pedestal With Her Left Hand, Beside A Draped Curtain in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 64,890.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of The Leopold, Count Of Auersperg (1662-1705) von Godfrey Kneller kam im Dezember 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.020,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
