Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work A Highland Ghillie With Two Deerhounds And A Terrier by Edwin Henry Landseer. The price achieved of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 140,348.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Henry Landseer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Scene in Chillingham Park: Portrait of Lord Ossulston', or 'Death of the Wild Bull' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,271,650.00 (€ 1,856,568.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Highland Ghillie With Two Deerhounds And A Terrier von Edwin Henry Landseer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 140.348,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Henry Landseer erzielen.
