Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shattered Head by Eduardo Paolozzi was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,042.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eduardo Paolozzi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Table Sculpture (Growth) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,073.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shattered Head von Eduardo Paolozzi kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.042,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo Paolozzi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Table Sculpture (Growth) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 178.073,96).
