Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Claude Barry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work Notre Dame sold for GBP 4,875.00 (€ 5,713.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Barry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work London and Wartime: Nocturne in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 325,002.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Barry erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Notre Dame für GBP 4.875,00 (€ 5.713,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claude Barry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit London and Wartime: Nocturne im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 230.500,00 (€ 325.002,11).
